I had my operation done on the 6th of August as planned. One of my staff took me to "Ashford Hospital" at 7:30Am to be checked in for the operation.
I was first told how the operation was gonna be done and which doctors/nurses were going to be in the room.
Next I was given a pulse check on my arm and one for my finger. (This had to be done several times throughout my time in the hospital).
The next thing that was done.... Even though I didn't do it was a "urine sample". The nurse who wanted me to give it to her was just too late when I wanted the toilet.
Next was putting on the dress for the operation and the dressing gown which to me looked like an old lady when I was wearing them. I even had to wear stockings for any blood clots that may occur.
In the operation room.... I was met with my surgeon and another man who was helping and a nurse too. There was another man involved too which I thought was really funny before my sedation, seeing him with the other nurses and giggling and joking with them.
Anyway.... I was put onto the bed for the operation and I was given an injection in my right hand to find a vain but it didn't work so the other hand was tried which did work. During this I had the pulse thingie on my finger.
I was given loads of fluids to calm me down before I realized I was asleep for the operation.
After the operation.... I had some gaze in my mouth to stop the bleeding then I tried eating a strawberry yogurt for breakfast because your not allowed to eat before an operation and this was a treat because I had did well to stave myself.
I had two yogurts of the same kind then my staff gave me a milky way bar that I ate more slowly.
I was then discharged from the hospital and left it with a painful mouth. The doctors and nurses told me to keep the stockings on for about 7 days and not to eat hot food for 3 days.
Hot food was back on the menu but soft on Saturday but it was on my "Weetabix Minis cereal".
I'm hoping that I'll be fully recovered by "Wednesday".
