Did you enjoy yesterdays news? I hope you did.
Let's hope you like this weeks news.
Today I'll be talking about this lovely creature called "the wolf".
Now the wolf is an endangered species in the world and being one in my fans story is great fun because I'm a brown wolf in the story but we'll probably get to the story later in the news reel, if I choose to talk about it because my life in it can be a little hairy in it at times and saying that I mean "gross". Anyway.... Back to "the wolf". There are many species of wolf in the wild that I have seen on T.V, ranging from "grey, timber, tundra, maned, Ethiopian, Indian, Mexican and red".
Wolves come in many colors but this only really applies to the "grey, timber and the tundra" wolf. The colors for these wolves range from "white, black, sandy yellow and silvery grey".
The "maned" wolf is liked fox and hunts like one too. It has "black legs" and for it's body it has a "orange" color to it. The "Ethiopian" wolf is just like the "maned" wolf but is just a "orange" color. The "Indian" wolf is just like "grey" and a "timber" but has a "longer snout" and is probably smaller than it's cousins.
The "Mexican" wolf is another name for a "grey" wolf but this wolf doesn't have the same qualities as the "grey". The "red" wolf looks similar to a "grey" but is smaller than it.
A wolf's diet can range from "rabbits, caribou and other deer, berries, small birds, meat that's left from other animals and livestock.
Humans and wolves don't really get along with each other and with wolves going into rancher livestock to steal cattle and other animals that they wanna kill.... Humans will do anything in their power to wipe wolves out by shooting them.
Some wolves like me are in captivity which means I live in a cage but I can change into my human form whenever I like. A real wolf couldn't do that in the wild.
And did you know that a wolf is a wild dog? Your pet dog at home was once a wolf. It was just descended from one. That's how it knows how to hunt, if you pick a hunting breed of dog.
With a wolf.... It lives in a pack and every pack has a leader or two. The leaders are the alphas. They are the only ones that get to breed and have pups. The next rank is the Omegas. These are not allowed to eat till the alphas have eaten and they get whatever's left of a kill. There's also a peace-maker of the pack which will probably be the next leader, if one of them dies.
With a pet dog.... It's just the same. Just your the leader and they have to wait till you've eaten to get their food.
Wolves and domestic dogs have the same litter of pups. The pups are blind at birth at first then in a few weeks they are allowed to go outside the den. Pups are on their Mother's milk for the first few days of their life till they're allowed to venture about.
Bears and coyotes in the wild would kill a wolf pup for an easy meal so both wolf parents have to protect their young.
